Industry 4.0 central to driving IT-OT convergence
47% of respondents identified Industry 4.0 as the biggest factor driving IT-OT convergence
Industry 4.0 is driving IT-OT convergence in the manufacturing industry, with businesses looking to drive profitability and efficiencies in their operations. However, this convergence also increases the attack surface, exposing manufacturers to the threat of cyberattacks in their core operations.
Few firms are mature in protecting and defending against cyber risks from IT/OT. Responsibility for security is often inconsistent or unclear. People and cultural issues hinder security posture readiness, compounding technical challenges.
Our study carried out with Omdia Research surveyed over 500 manufacturers worldwide to understand how they are adopting IT-OT convergence and the challenges they face – particularly around security. Read our white paper for details, along with our six recommendations for success in this critical area.
